  • Three Pines Coffee Co – Also located in our neighborhood, has some of the best coffees, teas, etc… with an amazing (and healthy)  breakfast/lunch menu. You have to try their GF waffles! 3115 Harrison Ave.
  • Driftwood Cafe – Classic American breakfast with style; simple, affordable, and consistently good. 1001 Heavenly Village Way
  • Cuppa Tahoe – Indoor/outdoor seating with funky corners for reading or working; shelves of books add charm for sip-and-read mornings. 2054 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
  • Ernie’s Coffee Shop – Great gluten-free options and an old-school diner vibe, though it gets busy. 1207 Emerald Bay Rd.
  • Tahoe Bagel Co. – East Coast–style bagels with Tahoe soul. 1018 Al Tahoe Blvd.

Lunch

Quick bites, comfort food, and laid-back spots perfect for fueling up between lake time and mountain time. The places we return to again and again:

  • Brooks’ Bar & Deck – Enjoy elevated pub fare lakeside at this beloved spot overlooking the Edgewood Golf Course. 180 Lake Pkwy., Stateline, NV
  • Freshies Ohana – Island-inspired flavors and consistently good food. While the indoor space is modest, the rooftop deck is lovely during the summer. 3330 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
  • Yellow Submarine – A short stroll from our Sierra Cabin, this no-frills local counter serves overstuffed subs and wraps. 983 Tallac Ave.
  • Port of Subs – Also a convenient walk from our Sierra Cabin and great for grab-and-go meals to take on a hike, swim day, ski outing, or boat trip. 3101 Harrison Ave.
  • Street tacos – Is there anything better after a morning of paddling or skiing? Local favorites include Jalapeno’s (675 Emerald Bay Rd.), Maya’s (4041 Lake Tahoe Blvd.), and Verde Mexican Rotisserie (2016 Lake Tahoe Blvd.).
  • Sprouts Café – Fresh salads, wraps, and smoothies. 3123 Harrison Ave.

Dinner

Sunset views, fresh flavors, memorable meals. Here are our top picks for the best restaurants in South Lake Tahoe, including for romantic date nights at the shore.

  • Riva Grill – The lake views! Serving upscale casual American fare and especially known for their Wet Woody — a rum slushy adorned with an umbrella, naturally. 900 Ski Run Blvd.
  • Gastromaniac – Walking distance from our properties, we head here regularly for deliziosa thin-crust pizza and homemade pasta with ingredients straight from Italy. 3091 Harrison Ave.
  • The Bistro Edgewood – Absolutely the best lake views and sunset cocktails in Tahoe. It’s on the pricier side, but the food is solid and the hotel ranks among the best in the world. Don’t-miss experience. 180 Lake Pkwy, Stateline, NV.
  • MacDuff’s Public House – This Scottish-inspired pub has the best fish n’ chips we’ve had. If you catch a fish on the lake they will cook it for you! Bonus: It’s close to Tahoe Bowl. 1041 Fremont Ave.
  • The Idle Hour – A favorite lakeshore wine bar with a panoramic deck perfect for sunset views. Offers small bites, salads, fondue, and charcuterie. 3351 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
